Description:

Around 209 A.D., Rome. The dictatorial Emperors Caracalla and Geta control the Roman Empire sixteen years after the deaths of Emperor Marcus Aurelius and Maximus Decimus Meridius in the 2000 film Gladiator. An enslaved Numidian leader who arrives in the city as a gladiator tests loyalties as tensions rise. Nobody knows who he is, but can this modest protector bring Rome back to its former splendor in the face of evil plans endangering the Republic?
