Description:
After meeting an enigmatic stranger, an insomniac musician embarks on a journey that tests all of his self-concept. The story centers on Tesfaye's character, a musician who, following a recent breakup, struggles with sadness and insomnia. He sustains a voice damage as a result of his condition getting worse during a performance. In the meantime, a devoted fan named Anima (Ortega) burns down her home and travels to Los Angeles to see him perform live. When Anima infiltrates the show, their paths cross, and they develop a deep, dreamlike bond that makes it difficult to distinguish between truth and illusion. The movie looks at identity, popularity, and the psychological effects of being famous.
