Description:
Jang Cheol-soo is the writer and director of the 2022 South Korean love drama Serve the People, which stars Kim Ji-chul, Ji An, Jo Sung-ha, and Yeon Woo-jin. It is based on Yan Lianke's book of the same name and shows the internal difficulties of model soldier Mu Gwang as well as the romance between him and Su-ryun, the division commander's young wife. On February 23, 2022, the movie, which is set in a hypothetical socialist nation that is reminiscent of North Korea in the 1970s, was released in theaters in South Korea.
