Description:
In Nallore, Sub-Inspector Durai Singam, his parents, and a sister lead a reasonably affluent lifestyle. Everyone respects him because he makes good use of the authority bestowed upon him. He meets and falls in love with Kavya Mahalingam, but her father, a businessman in Chennai, strongly opposes him since he disapproves of him. The High Court orders powerful gangster Mayil Vaaganam to report before Durai before any resolution can be reached. After initially refusing to go, the former gives in and makes a vain attempt to frighten Durai with goon force, but ultimately fails and is humiliated. He makes sure Durai is transferred when the latter returns to Chennai.
