Description:
In order to support herself, young, pregnant Karoline in Copenhagen works as a wet nurse for an elderly woman named Dagmar. Dagmar helps underprivileged moms place their unwanted newborns in foster homes by running a covert adoption service disguised as a candy store. Karoline and Dagmar get close, but she eventually has to face the terrifying reality she unintentionally entered.
Storyline:
Copenhagen 1919: A young employee becomes pregnant and unemployed. Dagmar, who operates a covert adoption agency, is introduced to her.
